Rendezvous and docking technology is one of the three basic techniques inManned space flight and the cornerstone of a variety of large-scale, complex spacemission. It is applied in spacecraft servicing on rail, the space station assembly in orbit,space station long-term operation, satellites constellation, satellites formation, satellitecapture, missile intercepting, space rescue, manned lunar landing, extraterrestrialsampling, interplanetary voyage and many other new space missions. While therendezvous technology is an important part of the whole rendezvous and docking andplays a vital role in the successful completion of rendezvous and docking. For theproblem of obtaining the relative velocity information between tracking spacecraft andtarget spacecraft, this paper proposed a control strategy of delayed output feedback, andfocused on the studying of its steady implementation issue. The main researching workis as follows:1. This paper gave a general derivation of the delayed output feedback control law,and revealed the internal principle of the design, furthermore, gave the existingcondition of the delayed output feedback control law. Through simulations and theoryanalysis, we found that the stability of delayed output feedback control systems issensitive to the numerical integration and integral accuracy.2. Respecting the instability problem resulted by the numerical integrationimplementation of distributed time-delay integral in delayed output feedback controllaw, this paper proposed a low-pass-based implementation method, and proves theasymptotic stability of the closed loop system in theory. For a specific system, the papercarried out the design of control laws and simulations. The result of experiment showedthat the modified delayed output feedback is really effective and feasible, and that themethod has good robustness with respect to numerical integration method and integralprecision.3. With spacecraft rendezvous for the application platform, this paper used thedelayed output feedback method based on low-pass implementation to design controllaws for the both situations of without and having delays in the actuator. The simulationresults showed that the designed method can control the rendezvous progress effectively,and possess good structure adaptability for input delays intrinsic in the systems.
