Current-Transformer power source, short as CT power source, is a kind of newpower source, which is used mainly in AC and large current circumstance. It’s consi-derable to the Grid Monition and Smart Grid. And, as the industry needed, it’s neces-sary to monitor the joint’s temperature of Looped Network cabinet. In this paper, wecalculate the temperature inside of the joint, design the electrical system to send thedata of temperature out wirelessly, make a scheme to complete the temperature mea-surement plan, which use CT power source as the energy source. This paper is orga-nized as follows:Firstly, in this article, the mathematical model for the CT power source is deeplystudied. The physical parameters of the mathematical model are well analyzed, andthe reduced model is presented. At the same time, we tried to get a sound and perfectsolution and invite a practicable power source for the Grid Monition devices, based onthe ideas of load controlling and switching power source. At the same time, based onthe concepts of load controlling and switching power source, a feasible controlscheme for Grid Monition devices is improved. Moreover, taking into account themathematical model of CT power and the stability of the back-end voltage, the elec-tronic system is designed and the effectiveness of proposed scheme is illustrated.Secondly, a temperature field of looped network cabinet is modeled based on theconcepts of heat transfer in temperature field and heat resistance. The mathematicalmodel of temperature is equivalent to the resistance in electronic system. Based onthis, single-phase and three-phase temperature model in the network terminal is wellstudied. The mathematical model between different testing points is also discussed. Anew predictor algorithm to overcome the disadvantage of time delay is present, whichis very similar to that of in industrial process control. A three-phase and multiphasetemperature measurement scheme is synthesis.We have designed a complete measurement and controlling system based onMCU to end of this paper. We also present some necessary explanation for the pro-posed electronic system. It’s proved that the temperature monitoring solution based onCT energy supply is overall feasible, and analyzed the future prospects of CT powersource and the application of temperature predictive measurement in other areas.
