Actuator is the main executive mechanism for the attitude control of aircraftin the aerospace industry and aviation field. With the further development oftechnology in aerospace and aviation, higher quality of product research anddetection has been required. According to the test requirements, actuator nonlinearparameter testing system is designed to realize automatic detection for actuatortransmission mechanism on the basis of the research in nonlinear measuredparameters including backlash, friction torque and transmission accuracy.After theoretical analysis on the measured parameters of actuatortransmission mechanism, general scheme of testing system based on DSP isproposed according to the test requirements which includes the operating platform,the main control system and torque loading platform. Besides, a detailed analysison the key technology and the solution is discussed.Secondly, the circuit design and working principle with DSP chipTMS320F2812produced by TI at its core are discussed in detail. The hardware ofthe testing system consists of main control chip with its peripheral module, serialcommunication module, RAM memory expansion module, torque motor drivemodule, torque sensor data acquisition module and the angle sensor dataacquisition module.Thirdly, the software design and debugging process of actuator nonlinearparameter testing system is introduced. The bottom software driver based onCCS3.3programming environment includes the communication module throughRS232communication protocol, control circuit module with PID algorithm anddata acquisition and processing module.Finally, field testing process of the three measured parameters is discussed indetail and the testing results of the nonlinear parameter of actuator transmissionmechanism are provided. Meanwhile, Using filtering and fitting module inLABVIEW, the testing results are processed and reconciliated towards interferenceand noise in the data. Then, the final measured parameters are obtained from theprocessed test curve.Actuator nonlinear parameter testing system has been field operated and itcould meet the test requirements which realizes the automatic measurement ofbacklash, friction torque and transmission precision for actuator. As a measuringdevice for testing the performance of actuator with efficiency and reliability, theactuaor nonlinear parameter testing system can replace the manual measurementcompletely which not only saves the research and production cost but also improves the measuring efficiency and data’s reliability.
