With the period of global modernization and integration and high-speeddeveloping of the socio-cultural and economic, the Western and Eastern culture aremeeting up with the mutual penetration of each other. In this era of sharinginformation, the geographical features of the city are receding and lost, manybuildings which was designed in traditional form, was ruined because considered asan obstruction of the progress of society, the high-rise buildings are replace all overthe city which is losing local characteristics and context accumulation, thousands ofcities are routine and mechanically performed. Fusing of the traditional cultural andcontemporary architecture organized under the influence of this "cultural invasion"becomes the imperatives of contemporary architects, which is generating the localcharacteristics into the modern architectural forms, and maintain our Chinese nation’sfine tradition of the context and the urban construction ideological premise, like localcharacters of Guanzhong residential (the middle part of Shaanxi Province, China).In this paper, it descript the study and field research of some traditional housesand the Grand View Garden Hotel (renamed after built as the Impression Grand ViewHotel), with the epidermis of architectural forms and cultural connotations, analyzingand exploring of how the heritage of traditional houses architectural form of the styletexture, how to retain the traditional features under impacting by new generation ofculture, and integrate into the modern architecture. Refining, abstract restructuring and shaping the architectural elements of traditional houses and artisticexpressing into the modern formed structures, to enable them to have the charm of thetraditional culture, embodied a strong sense of traditional regional culture.4)Inheritance and Development of Material and Color.
