Variable Speed Constant Frequency (VSCF) is widely used in aircraft electrical generating system.However, Variable Speed Constant Frequency has some disadvantages such as large capacitor storagelink, heavy weight and so on. Matrix Converter has recently arrested substantial attentions fromscholars both at home and abroad owing to its unity power factor, without large capacitor storage link.The paper applies the control of three-phase to single-phase Matrix Converter’s input current anglecompensation to variable speed constant frequency power generating system.This dissertation firstly introduces the modulation methods of the three-phase to single-phaseMatrix Converter, including the module strategies of the virtual rectifier area and the virtual inverterarea. To reduce input reactive power, then mainly introduces the elements of input current anglecompensation, a phase difference between grid side input current and main circuit side input currentalgorithm is proposed, input current angle compensation can be used to make the input voltage andinput current to be the same phase. And the relation between the max voltage transfer ratio and inputcurrent angle is obtained. Three-phase to single-phase MC closed-loop control method based on fuzzycontrol is presented, in which the RMS value of output voltage is taken as feedback.Matlab simulation model of MC closed-loop control system has been established, and the dynamicand static characteristic of the three-phase to single-phase MC based on the control of input currentangle compensation have been analyzed. Otherwise, the effect of fuzzy control and PI control has alsobeen analyzed.The design of three-phase to single-phase MC closed-loop control system is introduced in detail,which includes the hardware design and the software programming design. There is voltage and currentsampling circuit, the over-current protection circuit. The software programming design is completed byDSP and CPLD. The responsibility of DSP mainly is the realization of closed-loop and calculation ofthe modulation duties online. The function of CPLD is switch control signals transition.Finally, the closed-loop control system of MC has been designed and experiments have been made,the results show that the system runs well. After compensating input current angle, the input voltage isin phase with the input current. The experiment results demonstrate that the three-phase to single-phaseMC closed-loop system based on the method is correct.
