The split torque transmission system has a good application prospect in aviation and ship drivesystem. Compared with the planetary gear transmission, the split torque transmission system whichhas fewer components and a simpler structure can get high reduction ratio of the final stage, highreliability and light weight. Carry out this project can guide design and manufacturing of the system,also has great significance in promoting the development and engineering applications.The tooth matching, the optimization, the load-sharing design, the static characteristics and thefirst stage’s dynamic analysis of split torque transmission system are included in the investigation.According to the configuration characteristics of split torque transmission system, four basic toothmatching conditions and an additional tooth matching condition have been given, four different toothmatching schemes have been proposed, and the examples of each schemes have been given. Based onthe tooth matching, ten parameters of the system have been selected as the design variables, varietyconstraints of the system have been discussed, and two optimization schemes have been calculated. Inaccordance with the configuration features of the system, the load-sharing methods have been given,from which the most appropriate and the most representative two methods have been selected andcalculated. The comprehensive engagement errors of the system have been given, and the static modelof the system has been established, the system load-sharing factor has been solved, the systemload-sharing characteristics in different design conditions have been discussed. The dynamic model ofSplit Torque Gear Pairs has been established, the equation of the system has been solved, and theinfluence of the main parameters on the system dynamics has been discussed.
