The wave-rider configuration is a kind of aerodynamic shape with the high lift-drag ratio and goodmaneuvering capacity for hypersonic vehicle. Hypersonic wave-riders take off from the ground or thetransport platform, then pass through the atmosphere and execute the different tasks, leading to thelarge change ranges of the motion environment and the flight state. As a result, it is difficult forhypersonic wave-ride vehicle to keep good stability with the fixed shape under the comprehensiveparameter variation condition. Whereas the intelligent morphing technology can make the vehicleconfiguration changes according to the different flight states and mission requirements such that thevehicles can adapt to the special flight condition in order to meet multitasking demands with the largeflight envelope. More importantly, in this paper intelligent morphing technology is introduced into thehypersonic vehicle design, and then studying the Morphing Wave-rider.Firstly, the aerodynamic forces on the wave-rider surface are estimated based on the obliqueshock theory and Prandtl-Meyer equations. The propulsive force is calculated by usingquasi-one-dimensional Rayleigh flow. So the resulting lift, drag, moment and thrust can be acquired.Then, a parameterized longitudinal model of the hypersonic vehicle is established.Afterwards, changing the configuration parameters of wave-rider forebody, and then analyzingthe changing affecting on engine thermal choking and saturation. Then design modified dynamicinversion controller and classical PID controller to track command signal.At last, changing the location and dimension of control surface whitch related with the dynamicand static characteristics of control. Design the model reference controller to make the wave-ridertrack reference model under different configuration. And take the changing of control surface asanother control input, design overactuated controller, tracking the command signal.
