Along with the growth of energy demand and the widespread development of cleanenergy, countries in the world all realize that the hydroelectric energy is cleanable andsustainable, and so set the development of the hydroelectric energy as one importantstep of their development strategies. Hydropower station is always about dozens ofmeters beneath the Earth’s surface, so that thermal environment easily appears problemssuch as hot, stuffiness, humidity and so on.The main building underground is dividedinto generator layer, bus layer, turbine layer and volute layer. The generator layer andbus layer are affected less by moist air, but water seepage phenomenon usually occurs inthe wall of turbine layer and volute layer, then heat and mass exchange happensbetween the air and the wall in the plant, thus forms wet air with relatively highhumidity, and then the wet air circulates within the plant further, eventually causesdamage to the operation of factory equipment, and interfere with workers’ health.Consequently, Underground hydropower station, especially for pumped storage powerstation because of intermittent running,some turbine layers and volute layers easilyhave a condensation phenomenon, even water seepage,the Humidity problem isparticularly important. Dehumidification is necessary to ensure the normal operation ofthe equipment and worker’health.In this paper, research work mainly includes the following aspects:(1) Firstly,according to the measured data of Tai an pumped storage power station,using the FLUENT software to simulate the volute layer’s temperature and humidity,and compare the simulated data with the measured data to prove the validity of the equation and component transport equation which are used to simulate temperature andhumidity.(2)Taking Fujian Xian You pumped storage power station for example andcombining with field test data and boundary conditions, this paper sets up themathematical model and checkout whether the effect of air supply of verticaldehumidifier and vertical air conditioner meet the requirement of working condition.(3)Moreover, since the water turbine layer communicates with the volute layerthrough the stairwell and hanging hole, the author discusses the air distribution changelaw of two factories up and down, and emphatically explores how the opening andclosing of hanging hole impacts on the air parameters of the turbine floor factory...
