Composite chemical grouting is a kind of grouting methods, which are classifiedaccording to grouting materials. Compared with cement paste grouting, this groutingmethod is more suitable for fine cracks or the stratums where grouting is difficultlyimplemented. Therefore, it is widely applied in engineering. The grouting material ofthis method is mainly water glass, supported by gelling agent of certain ratio and thematerial is injected into stratums through single-slurry or dual-slurry grouting methodsto realize engineering application. What’s more, the objects of composite chemicalgrouting generally have characteristics of concealment and particularity, and the wholeprocess of grouting is difficultly imitated. In addition, many construction parametershave to be determined based on experience and are lack of theoretical foundation. Therefore, it is very necessary to study and discuss the composite chemical groutingtheory and construction parameters. This article is based on the sand layer drivage project of Xia Yukou coal mine inHan Cheng Mining Bureau. According to experimental study of the physical andmechanical property of fine sand in Xia Yukou and analysis of merits and demerits ofdifferent grouting materials and related grouting objects, the author proposesreinforcement schemes of the water glass-calcium chloride composite chemical grouting, which lay foundation for later study of grouting material ratio. Besides, the authorcombines the experimental study of indoor mechanical property of reinforced fine sandto get basic mechanical property parameters and optimal mix ratio of grouting slurry.According to different grouting objects, the author has further understanding of thereinforcement mechanism of fine sand in composite chemical grouting and then discusses such mechanism. Meanwhile, based on the changes of the basic mechanicalproperty of fine sand, the author also correspondingly analyzes grouting reinforcementeffect.According to the above research findings, the author of this article focuses on theindoor testing of characteristics of reinforced fine sand, discusses the relationship ofstress and strain of the reinforced fine sand under axial load, and tests the differentindexes of the reinforced fine sand under different PH values, like hydrolysis intensity, stability in water loss, exposure duration, and its own shear strength. Throughtheoretical analysis, indoor experiment, contrastive analysis of results, the author getsperformance data of the reinforced fine sand in the reinforced fine sand layer with waterglass and calcium chloride injected in it, which can provide significant reference datafor later similar grouting methods or feasible experimental study data and theoreticalsupport for grouting construction in some special areas like desert areas to make thiskind of sand layer reinforcing method widely applied.
