Research On Urban Agriculture Planning In The Perspective Of Modern Garden City

With the rapid development of the urbanization in our country, more and morepeople will live in cities. The capacity of the urban population and urban area continuedto expand, which will inevitably lead to increasing the burden of the urban naturalenvironment, destroying the urban ecological environment system and increasing theurban development issues. In recent years, the occurrence of a series of natural disasters,food safety, air pollution and other issues sounded the alarm for the sustainabledevelopment of cities. As one of the best strategy, urban agriculture play anindispensable role in solving the problems of urban development, which should beintegrated into the development plan of the city. At the same time, as a new explorationof the concept and practices of garden city in China, modern garden city become aneffective ways and means to solve the "three rural" issue in the modern developmentprocess.Based on the above background, this paper systematically expounded thetheoretical background formation and the essence of the theory of modern garden cityby combing the practice of modern garden city movement; At the same time, this paperalso analysis the basic theory of urban agriculture. Based on the theory of moderngarden city and urban agriculture, this paper probe into the relationship of the moderngarden city and urban agriculture: the modern garden city not only play an importantrole in the planning and construction of the urban agriculture, but also promote thedevelopment of urban agriculture; urban agriculture is the most intuitive showcase of the modern garden city, and its development can also accelerate the construction ofmodern garden city. Aiming at building a modern garden city by the urban agriculture,the innovation of this paper is to propose the coupling way of urban agriculture andurban development: spatial distribution, industrial coupling, ecological combing andcultural convergence. The spatial integration and industrial penetration of the urbanagriculture can achieve the ecological combing and cultural convergence between urbanagriculture and urban development. By building the modern garden city with Chinesecharacteristics can realize the explanation of the modern garden city essence at the levelof the urban agriculture. Finally, according to what has studied in this paper, the lack ofthe case planning can be found. This paper can also put forward new ideas and newways for the development of urban agriculture in China, the construction of moderngarden city and achieving the sustainable development of cities.Based on the urban agriculture design practice, this paper analysis the couplingdevelopment between urban agriculture and urban development through spatialdistribution, industrial coupling, ecological combining and cultural convergence. Withthe increasing levels of urbanization, we believe that agriculture would be furtherintegrated into the city in the future development of agriculture. And a new city formand city pattern will be appeared in the future sustainable development city—urbanagriculture will permeate in cite from more levels, which could provide a new choice ofdesign strategy for the sustainable development of cities.
