The durability of Concrete has become the key issues currently that affect thesafety of structures. and also increasingly become the research focuses on the field ofcivil engineering at home and abroad. Most of the constructions have more seriousdurability issues under the harsh environment in northwestern China. It’s necessary toresearch the durability of these constructions, which not only can predict the potentialdanger, and take preventive measures to avoid major accidents and economic losses, butalso can apply the research results to guide the design of new constructions.First of all, the paper investigates the service environment of the trestle to find outthe duration of the freeze-thaw and the average number of freezing-thawing circles inone year. At the same time the detection of durability of concrete components of trestlestents is carried out in the paper, which mainly includes protective layer thickness, carbonation depth and concrete strength of the concrete components. The paperanalyzes the reasons of changes in the appearance of the components. The statisticalregularities of the thickness of the protective layer, carbonation depth and concretestrength are studied..Secondly, In order to obtain the deterioration rules of durability in accordance withthe Trestle, rapid and exposing experiment specimens are tested in the paper, whichincludes the same material and composition and curing condition as the trestle. The ruleof the concrete carbonization by experiment are researched, which turn out to be that thedifferent quality of construction control leads to the different carbonation depth. Andalso the freezing-thawing damage rule of the trestle stents concrete components arestudied, which lays the foundation for predicting freeze-thaw life. Finally, based on scene-testing data and experimental data, the paper predicts carbonation life by standards of carbonation life of concrete, corrosive expandingcracking life of protective layer by standards of corrosive expanding cracking life ofprotective layer and freezing-thawing life by freezing-thawing experiment.
