With the developing of the standards of the modern traffic and the increasing of thenumber of the bridges in use, more and more bridges have been demolished or replacedbecause of various reasons, the blasting demolition has been made full use of in the bridgeengineering field because of its quick way and efficiency. The bridges structures are always inthe complex environment, their patterns are so various, the technical requirements are sodifferent and the failures happen occasionally when they were blasting demolished, and evensignificant casualties and economic losses followed. Therefore, optimizing the designingscheme and previewing the process of the blasting demolition through numerical simulationseem particularly important. The reinforced concrete is the main material of the bridge structures. This paper studiesthe mechanism and process of reinforced concrete structures when they realize theircollapse. In the context of ANSYS/LS-DYAN, the process during numerical simulation ofblasting demolition about reinforced concrete is studied, and also the parameters of the kindof element, the type of material, the contact pattern, the control of the cut, the time step areensured; the separate model of common nodes of reinforced concrete bridge pier andbridges of simply supported plate girder are established, whose steel element and concreteelement can be considered separately during the collapse process, and then the process ofcollapse about bridge structures is reappeared by the way of pretreatment andmillisecond. The result is that the difference of the nature between steel and concrete is trulyreflected, and the continuous simulation of the blasting demolition of the bridges is broughtout.Through the above research, the separate model of common nodes can be put into useof blasting demolition simulation for reinforced concrete bridges, and can also providetheoretical direction for blasting demolition of similar bridges in the future.
