Cantilever pile is commonly used in deep excavation,it has good bracing performanceand simple construction,so it has been widely used in excavation project. Therefore, deeplystudy of various factors on the piles’ supporting effect, and research the working laws ofsupporting piles become more and more important, it has great practical significance andgood economic efficiency.In this paper,we use finite element programs ANSYS to construct a two-dimensionalinteraction model between cantilever pile and soil medium under two kinds of conditions ofone-off digging and stratified excavation.We studied the variation of horizontal displacement,pile stress and contact pressure under two kinds of conditions of one-off digging and stratifiedexcavation. we also studied the influence of engineering characteristics of supporting pileswhen pile diameter, elastic modulus of the pile, modulus of soil and shear strength arechanged.The studies show as follows: First, the actual excavation process is the gradual process,which close to stratified excavation, so the current excavation according one-off excavation isunreasonable. Second, during the excavation, reasonable excavation depth is very favorablefor the supporting structure. Third, the pile diameter increasing can reduce horizontaldisplacement of the pile and pile stress.Fourth, the elastic modulus of pile variation have littleeffect to pile horizontal displacement and pile stress. Fifth, the soil deformation modulusvariation have obvious impact to the horizontal displacement of the pile, and have little effectto pile stress. Sixth, the shear strength value increasing, the supporting piles embedded depthis reduced, and the shear strength increasing have obvious impact to the horizontaldisplacement of the pile and pile stress.Seventh, pile diameter, elastic modulus of pile anddeformation modulus of soil are changed, which have little effect to contact pressure on two sideof cantilever piles.
