Developing urban public transport vigorously is the best way to balance supply anddemand of urban road and improve urban traffic problems. Conventional public transit asone of the main means of public transport, the rationality of its network structure affects thedevelopment of the urban traffic directly. This paper studies on conventional public transitnetwork optimization method, and combined with public transport instance of Guiyang,adhering to the principles of academic significance and practical value, and has done someresearch on prediction of bus-sharing rate and routes network optimization method and itsrealization.Macro traffic management policy has effect on travel way sharing rate, therefore, thepaper proposes improved bus sharing rate prediction method-double planning forecastmodel: the upper is a traditional forecast model based on personal oriented factors; thelower is a passenger traffic structure constraint model based on macro effect factors,through looking for "balance points" of two layer models to get sharing rate of conventionalbus, to provide reliable data support for routes network optimization.Existing optimization methods of conventional public transit routes network moststudy on network optimization model and its solution algorithm. In terms of optimizationtheory in this paper, based on urban planning theory, this paper introduces the theory ofdividing survey cell based on the city’s function zoning division, and summarizes thecharacteristics of different functional zones, and then combined with the characteristics ofurban road grade, proposes a double public transit network optimization method based onfunctional division. In terms of optimization method implementation aspect, theoptimization process uses idea that’s based on permit optimization method, andsupplemented by excellent solution method. The paper proposes optimization model, ofwhich the optimization goal is minimum turnover of bus travelers, and the constraints of theskeleton network layer and filling routes network are different. Based on this optimizationidea, this paper introduces Passenger distribution method to solve the model, and proposes a specific solution steps, and then analyses the implementation process of public transitnetwork optimization method based on TransCAD. Finally, conventional public transitnetwork optimization method is proposed for the Guiyang public transportation planningpractice.
