With today’s high-speed development of social economy, people’s demand for water isincreasing, and increasingly sharp contradiction between supply and demand of waterresources to solve the problem, more and more cities begin to build long-distance large-scalewater conveyance project. In order to guarantee the safety operation of the water supplysystem, prevent the system transient flow phenomenon which could cause water hammeraccident, we must be serious to water supply system water hammer analysis, prediction andsimulation of the occurrence and propagation law of all kinds of working condition of waterhammer. According to the actual characteristics of different water conveyance system, designreasonable, effective and economic water hammer protective measures.In long-distance water-transmission line, especially in the high lift, more ups and downspipeline water hammer protection difficulty is biggest, and more likely to have water hammeraccident. Therefore, this article is specifically written for Xinjiang Fukang industrial parkwhich is a long distance, high lift, multi-stage water system on water hammer protectiondesign and discussion.This is a long-distance water pipelines slow slope pumping and pipeline through theDitch and channels, take on South Main Canal crossing along the arch tube design, graphicpipeline bend more, so the overall pipeline situation is more complicated terrain, will formwater hammer and potential water column disruption. In this paper, each level of the pipeline design of three water hammer protection: the first one is only slow closing check valve installed in the pump outlet; second buffer exhaustvalve installed in the pipeline at the specified stake; third in pipeline to specify the stationinstalled at the box-type two-way surge tank.
