Rotating machineries are very common in all walks of life applications, such as aircraftengines, steam turbine, blowers and other important equipment. They have become one of theirreplaceable important equipment in the production and living. The blades are importantcomponent of the rotating machinery. Their safety and reliability are important indicators thatmake the rotating machineries work normally. The vibration of the blades is one of the mainreasons that causes the failure of the blades. Therefore, the analysis of vibration data is one ofthe main parameters to determine whether the mechanical is failure or not. Using computer todo a variety of data analysis is reliable, and it’s convenient in engineering application. It alsobecomes the primary means to deal with all kinds of information. Data test and analysis to thekey equipment has very important significance.This paper based on the test data of the fan blades’ vibration, using the great power ofVB, combined with the Microsoft Office Access database, has developed a set of rotatingmachinery’s vibration signal analysis system. Main work and achievements are as follows:1.Through the study of fast Fourier transform and FFT algorithm based on extractingtime, the paper designed an algorithm for mixed radix-2/3FFT, which is suitable for thedevelopment system. This method can effectively save storage unit, improve operationefficiency.2. In the VB environment, this paper developed a data analysis system with the blowerblade vibration data for the experimental data. Its function is mainly making fast Fouriertransform to the test data, analysising the frequency spectrum characteristics, and designinghuman visual interface.3.Combining with the Microsoft Office Access database, the database managementsystem is designed. System can realize the data calls of real-time database, receive real-timetest data, transform test data, and management the test data.Though testing of the system function and user’s experience, we know that this systemcan meet the effective analysis of the vibration test data. Its concise intuitive data interfacemakes the operation very easy. The database design is more convenient for the effect of dataanalysis. At the same time, the appropriate algorithm improves the speed of the softwarerunning, and makes the software performance better.
