With the cross development of manufacturing, computer, control, communication,industrial manufacturing system is becoming more and more flexible, integrated,intelligent. This article researches on flexible production line smart control system forthermal forming with multidisciplinary development.The main function of the total control system is to improve the production efficiency.After analysing the characteristics of hot forming process and the main function modulesof the production line, we do a trajectory optimization of the robot thermal conveying pathwhich ultimately increases the conveying speed of the hot material smoothly.Production line control system can coordinate all the equipments on the productionline in a high level of integration to meet the needs of industrial control systems. However,large and complex production lines usually composed by equipments of differentmanufacturers, which will inevitably face information exchange between differentcommunication protocols. In this paper, the production line control system is designed usethe Microsoft OPC standard based on industrial Ethernet.In addition, industrial robot is difficult to adapt to the changing industrial sceneenvironment. In order to improve reliability and flexibility of the conveying system, thetotal control system adopts machine vision technology to complete visual servo of theindustrial robot, which greatly enhancing flexible and intelligent level of the production.
