Internal combustion engine performance test is a necessary method of estimation ofpower performance and economic performance of engine. An engine test bench must beequipped with reliable engine test control and analysis systems, to monitor the operationstate and to provide analysis of the combustion state and to improve the engineperformance. Therefore, the development about engine operation monitoring system, EGRvalve control system and combustion analysis system is significant.Based on PLC technology, this paper developed engine operation monitoring systemand EGR valve control system. By online data acquisition, trend monitoring and datarecording, the system guaranteed steady and reliable operation of the engine. The EGRvalve control system could control the valve lift of EGR effectively. This laid thefoundation of reducing the emissions of NOx and the study of low temperaturecombustion technology. Based on LabVIEW technology, this paper developed combustionanalysis system, and solved a series of key technology and problem, included the stabilityof data acquisition and storage, TDC calibration accuracy and correction of the systemerror of heat release calculation model.The innovative points of this paper are that: based on the comparison of pressure riserate to do secondary calibration, and put forward modified heat release calculation modelby introducing the EGR rate as an input parameter. The system mainly includes enginecylinder pressure acquisition function and data analysis function. By acquiring enginecylinder pressure reliably and calculating the engine performance parameters, the systemprovides estimation of the combustion state of engine to make improvement.
