With the rapid economic development and urbanization process is accelerating,China’s urban motor vehicle ownership and road traffic rapid grow and much higher thanthe speed of road infrastructure. Traffic congestion has become a serious problem in manycities, the government also unveiled a variety of policies of bus priority development inrecent years. so, many cities in the preparation of the city comprehensive transportationplanning make "bus priority" as the basic strategy. Regional Bus Scheduling mode isbecoming one of the trends of conventional public transport scheduling, this modelprovides a good solution for the bus operating companies to achieve its basic goals. This paper first introduces the basic principles and problems of preparation of the buslane scheme and bus timetables, and explore the basis of preparation of the regionalschedule. According to the lack of existing research methods, combined with relatedresearch status at home and abroad, this paper proposed the regional schedule optimizationmodel based on one-way bus schedule. The model takes into account the needs ofenterprises, single line passenger and transfer passengers,to minimize the time gapbetween the optimized schedule and the original single-line schedule, and make transferpassengers waiting time shorter. Based on the model, this paper select the PSO to solve themodel. And based on the PSO, this paper used MATLAB to run the program. Finally, thedata of the three bus lines in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province was calculated by the modeland algorithm validation..The results show that, compared with the initial schedule, theoptimized schedule significantly reduce the value of the objective function, and transferpassengers waiting time is also significantly reduced, that prove the applicability of themodel.
