With the rapid development of power electronics technology, various powerelectronic devices have been widely used, as well as the serious nonlinear of variousdevices, lead to the power system’s harmonic content is larger and larger, the harmonicpollution turns into a urgent problem, which need to be solved rapidly. Many peoplehave conduct in-depth study to make up the problems of the passive power filter, andfinally develop the active power filter based on instantaneous reactive power theory,which has excellent compensation performance.The text accounts the background of the active power filter, analyses its developingtrends and makes a thorough study, which mainly includes the design of the importanthardware parameters,i p iqharmonics detection algorithm’s validation and the study offixed delay ring current tracking control method.The design of the hardware parameters primarily based on the filter’s hardwarestructure and the harmonic current compensation requirements. Which mainly includesthe size of the DC voltage, the value of the output inductor at theAC side and the outputfilter’ design. The article gives a brief description of the instantaneous reactive powertheory, and then based which expound the harmonic detection algorithm. The text buildsa simulation model by MATLB SIMULINK module, in order to verify the algorithm’sexcellent characteristics for harmonic extraction. In the respect of harmonic trackingcontrol method, this text adopts the fixed time delay loop current tracking controlmethod which is better than traditional hysteresis control, and verify this methodthrough theory and simulation experiment.Finally, given the APF system based on DSP detailed analysis of hardware andsoftware design methods, including the sampling signal conditioning circuit,synchronous signal phase-locked circuit, and opto-isolator circuit and intelligent powermodule IPM drive and protection circuit, and gives several important program flowchartsoftware design, system initialization procedures, capture unit block interruptprocedures harmonic detection algorithm, PWM control algorithm. Finally, the textgives a detailed introduction of the APF system based on DSP, analysis the designmethods of hardware and software.
