The stiffened cylindrical shell with supporting structures was generally considered asthe simplified structural model of underwater vehicle, which was widely studied throughtheory, experiment and numerical simulation methods by scholars at home and abroad. However, the model including three pedestals respectively mounted on shell, platform andbulkhead was rarely researched. As the foundation of the power equipments mounted onthe ring-stiffened cylindrical shell, the pedestals transmit the vibration to the shell whilesupporting the equipments. Considering the vibration transmission characteristics frompedestals to shell will make a direct influence on the vibro-acoustic characteristics of theshell, it is essential to study the vibration transmission characteristics from pedestals to theshell. The content of this paper includes several aspects shown as follows:Firstly, the experimental device of the stiffened cylindrical shell with pedestals insidewas designed in this paper. Taking the vibration transmission characteristics as the cardinalline, the vibration experiments of the stiffened cylindrical shell were carried out. Throughanalysising the numerical model of the stiffened cylindrical shell, the results of numericalanalysis compared to experiment datas, hence the validity of the numerical modeling wasproved. And the influences on the vibration transmission characteristics of differentstructural parameters from pedestals to shell were analyzed.Secondly, based on the rigid vibration-isolating technique, one new-style hollow-massvibration-isolating structure was developed and designed in this paper, thevibration-isolating performance of which was superior to the solid-mass vibration-isolatingstructure. On the main vibration transfer paths from pedestals to pressure shell, thehollow-mass vibration-isolating structures were laid in order to make a vibration-isolatingcontrol on the aforementioned transfer paths. The results showed that thevibration-isolating performance of hollow-mass vibration-isolating structure laid arounddifferent location pedestals varies evidently due to the different pedestals and their aroundstructures. Finally, based on the theories of FEM/BEM, SEA and hybrid FE-SEA, the soundradiation of the stiffened cylindrical shell was analyzed and forecasted in the full-band byVA One software. The influences on the sound radiation of the shell parameters, pedestalparameters and hollow-mass vibration-isolating structure were studied. The results showedthat the increment of the thicknesses of pedestal panel and shell and laying hollow-massvibration-isolating structure could reduce the sound radiation from the shell to the outside. In this paper, the vibration transfer law of different structural parameters frompedestals to shell was studied, the mass vibration-isolating control on the vibration transferpath was analysised, and sound radiation characteristics of shell with different structureparameters were forcasted by means of experimental study and numerical analysismethod, which provide a significant reference value on the acoustic design of underwatervehicle.
