Guiding-hole static pressure pile, as the development and improvement of the staticpressure pile, is widely used. The effect of the guiding-hole on the bearing behavior has notgained comprehensive and clear understanding. And the computation method is also notperfect. Therefore, the further study of analysis method and the working mechanism of thefoundation is necessary.The relations among the bore radius of guiding-hole, the radius of pile and the radius ofthe plastic zone around the pile were analysed, according to the theory of cavity expansion,with Tresca yield criteria and Mohr-Coulomb yield criteria. The relation of the resistance atthe pile side and bore radius of guiding-hole was discussed, the formula of resistance at thepile side of a guiding-hole static pressure pile, based on technical code was also given. Andthe parameters of the formula tip resistance was discussed with the characteristics ofguiding-hole static pressure pile. The formula of the bore radius of guiding-hole wasdiscussed with purpose of bearing capacity. The effective length of the pile was discussed inthis paper.The formula of effective length of the pile was discussed in this paper can reflect thetransfer of pile axial force. The ultimate bearing capacity of guiding-hole static pressure pilegiven through the formula is proved reliable by comparing with practical data.
