| Temperature is one of the seven basic units of the International System of Units. It’swidely used and has great significance in scientific research or in our daily life. Platinumresistance thermometer with good accuracy can reach the require in most cases.However, theplatinum resistance thermometer is fragile, and you must be more careful. Besides, due to itsstructure, it’s easy to get a bad data which is not accurate. In addition, the price is relativelyexpensive. So, exploring an accurate, cost-effective new thermometer becomes important.Whispering gallery mode microwave dielectric resonator with high quality factor, lowloss, small size, etc. has been widely applied in the time-frequency domain. Sapphirewhispering gallery mode resonator has a sapphire crystal as a central medium for themicrowave cavity. As an anisotropic material, the dielectric constant of sapphire will changewhen the temperature changes.and the change will cause a change in the dielectric constantof the microwave resonance frequency of the dielectric resonator. Therefore, we can use thisprinciple to establish a new type of sapphire whispering gallery mode thermometer models.In this study, the relationship between the resonant frequency of the sapphire microwavedielectric resonator and the temperature was explored, the calculations of the resonantfrequency of the dielectric resonator,the design of the antenna and the cavity resonator,HESS simulation of electromagnetic fields, exploratory experiments and other work contentwere launched respectively, and satisfactory results were achieved. The electromagnetic fieldpatterns can represent the relationship between temperature and the cavity resonancefrequency more accurate. Through data analysis and data fitting, the fitting formula betweenfrequency and temperature can be found, then calculate temperature, and contrast to theoriginal temperature. The difference is under5mk, which can achieve the required goals. |
