Traditional soil nail wall is often caused by large displacement,then affectsurrounding buildings. Mixing pile composite soil nailing structure makes up theweakness of the traditional soil nail wall. But lagging of theoretical studies and nouniform standards, designing and construction still use traditional soil nail wall theory.That is wasteful in practice. Therefore, this article based on engineering examples andresearch, through theoretical analysis,field test and numerical simulation to analysisthis structure mechanism and deformation. Main study content as follows:(1)Introducing and summarizing mixing pile composite soil nail structuremechanism and failure process, and analyzing the internal force distribution patternsof field testing of soil nails. Through the method of function fitting to calculate soilnail deformation under the applied load.(2)Summarizing the main composite soil nail structure lateral earth pressurecalculation mode. Through the stiffness distribution method of structural mechanics tocalculating the composite soil nail structure deformation under the lateral earthpressure.(3)Combining with the foundation excavation project of mixing pile compositesoil nail structure at Guangzhou Huangpu, study performance of composite soil nail inconstructing and working situation by analyzing the result of field test.(4)Using the finite element analysis software Midas GTS to build up thenumerical simulation for analyzing the process of excavation.Furthermore, comparethe result of practical monitoring data to indicates the working mechanism and furtherreveal deformation law of mixing pile composite soil nail structure.Through the stiffness distribution method to calculating the overall lateraldeformation of mixing pile composite soil nail structure under the limit state.It canprovide a calculation and evaluation of ideas for theoretical analysis of this structure. It has a very important practical significance for engineering practice to provideeffective monitoring of deformation control calculated value.
