The research of soil’s structural is a hotspot and difficult problem of geotechnicalengineering, structural has become the one of the most fundamental internal factors, has a largeeffect on its mechanical properties. The research results worked by Scholars at home and abroadshow that the damage of original structure of clay will lead to some mechanical propertieschange significantly, it have larger influence on engineering construction.Based on refer to a large number of literature at home and abroad in this paper, Simulatedstructural clay in Zhanjiang group indoor triaxial test and engineering practice by the large finiteelement software ABAQUS, and compared with the experimental results and test results analysis,reveals the basic properties of structural clay, the influence of the structural of soil to strengthand deformation of soil, and the relationship between the structural engineering geology effect.This article carry out specific work and the main research results are as follows:1. Through four kinds of confining pressure50kpa,100kpa,200kpa and300kpa to simulateundrained triaxial consolidation test, analyzing the change process of the stress-strainrelationship of soil. Results show that the original clays are different from the Reconstitutedclays. The stress strain curve is softening type when at low confining pressure (σ3≤200kpa),compression curve has obvious turning point; High confining pressure effect (σ3=300kpa)completely destroying the structure of the undisturbed soil, the stress strain curve renderingsclerosis type. And under low confining pressure the remolded soil stress-strain curve show theweak softening, no obvious turning point.2. Were investigated the status quo and method of structural of soil and the quantitativeindicators in detail, On the basis of undisturbed soil and remolded soil triaxial shear test byABAQUS to seek a quantitative index A. It could reflect the cementation macroscopicmechanical properties between the soil particles due to the special structure.3. Taking structural parameters A into Mohr-coulomb criterion in order to reflect thecharacteristics of the structural strength of soil. We can get the relationship between structuralparameter and cohesion, internal friction angle. Results show that the cohesion increasing alongwith the structural parameters by double curved shape, it more can reflect the ultimate bearingcapacity of the soil strength. And the friction Angle basically remains unchanged. When thestructure completely damaged, the cohesion tend to be zero, namely the cementation between theparticles of soil on the soil structural impact is significant.
