Twin deck bridge can ease traffic pressure, therefore widely used in practicalengineering. This paper studies the aerodynamic interference effects of the twin deckbridge. Wind-induced vibration effect of twin deck bridge is differences to the singledeck bridge. As the span increases the aerodynamic interference is more and moreserious, so its study is necessary. The main contents of research are as follows:(1) The thesis briefly introduces construction development of the domestic andforeign large-span twin bridges, and summarizes present research development ofinterference effects on the blunt structure and the twin bridges.(2) Three models of typical bridge deck sections, such as rectangular deck, streamline deck and PI-shape deck, were designed. The test equipments for windtunnel tests of aerodynamic interference effects on flutter stability of the two decksarranged in tandem were introduced briefly.(3) The wind tunnel tests for flutter stability of the three models of typicalbridge deck sections with different parameters such as net distance between twodecks, damping ratio, were conducted in smooth wind field separately.(4) Influence of turbulence intensity on aerodynamic interference on flutterstability of long-span twin-deck bridges has been studied through wind tunnelexperiments in turbulence wind field induced by uniform grids.(5) Aerodynamic interference mechanism of long-span twin-deck bridges wasstudied by analyzing wind pressure distribution on single deck and twin-decksurfaces.(6) In the last chapter, the brief summary of the achievements in this thesis, thedeficiencies of the study and the recommendations for the emphasis of the comingresearch were given.
