Fin stabilizer which is an effective stabilizing device has been widely used in militaryvessels and civilian vessels. It can effectively improve the safety of the ship and the comfortof the crews.Digital simulation system of fin stabilizer for fin stabilizer control system research,especially for the control algorithm research, is an indispensable tool. Under laboratoryenvironment, it not only can provide other systems the information about anti-rolling, but alsocan provide the function module by which can call the genetic algorithm to optimize thecontrol parameters and the ship rolling graphic information to make the technician canefficiently debug control parameters, be easy to observe the anti-rolling information, let thefin stabilizer system work in the best condition. More importantly, when the sea conditionchanges randomly, it can self-tuning the control parameters.This paper establishes the mathematical models of wave angles and ship rolling, thensimulates the wave angles. Meanwhile, presents the function and principle of all aspects of thecontrol system for fin stabilizer in detail and based on fin stabilizer control system theory,establishes the simulation system of fin stabilizer, using c sharp program language in thecompile environment of.NET. The function and composition of simulation system isintroduced in detail, puts forward the view that update the control parameters according to thechanges of the ship motion(rolling period), how to realize each function is analyzed andillustrated. The function of simulation system parameter optimization module is achieved bycalling the genetic algorithm,so in order to improve the performance of genetic algorithm,improves the standard genetic algorithm,adjusts the control parameters of the system for finstabilizer using the improved Genetic Algorithm,simulates the fin stabilizer system on theMatlab platform, proves the effectiveness of improving the standard genetic algorithm.Using the same simulation parameters, simulates the fin stabilizer system on the simulationsystem platform, by calculating and comparing the simulation results obtained from the twoplatforms, verifies the accuracy of the simulation system, which meets the design requirement.Finally, the main functions of the simulation system are tested and the control parameterself-tuning function is improved. During the test, the simulation system runs well, the rollangle and the fin angle curves can be dynamically outputted, various functions can beachieved.
