A tactical ballistic missile is a ballistic missile that follows a ballistic flightpath with theobjective of delivering one or more warheads to a predetermined target. It is designed forshort-ranged battlefield use, with a long-distance flight propelled by a rocket engine. Formany nations, tactical ballistic missiles have represented their advantages of thediversification of launching means, a short reaction time, a high flight speed, a powerfuldestroying characteristic, a long attack range, a high defense penetration ability, and they arefocused on more and more. With a continuous development of tactical ballistic missiles, there-entry velocity of a warhead is increasing, defense penetration means are more and morediversiform, so that the interception of a tactical ballistic missile becomes more difficult. So itis very necessary to investigate the question of intercepting high maneuvering target in thispaper. Specially, it includes:The development of tactical missiles is described, and the existing missile defensesystems in the world are analyzed. It is showed that the development of anti-missile missilesin China plays an important role in national security.The coordinate systems that we use and the transformation between them are defined toanalyze the missile flight. The atmospheric parameters are calculated in different altitudesand some aerodynamic parameters are calculated when a missile is flying, such asaerodynamic force, aerodynamiccouple.In order to facilitate the establishment of maneuver model, the existing of the tacticalmissile penetration strategy was analyzed. On this basis, in the form of spiral maneuver, tobuild a kind of aerodynamic effect to change the trajectory of high speed maneuvering reentrymodel, this model as the simulation to intercept the target.According to the interception problem of three-dimensional space, the interceptor’scentroid dynamics equation and kinematics equations, and the relative motion equationsbetween interceptor and the target have been established. Meanwhile, several direct methodshave been reviewed, and the ballistic characteristics of the proportional guidance method hasbeen analyzed especially, at last the advantages of that has been summarized. On the basis ofit, the basic framework of penetration and the interception with proportional guidance scheme has been built, and, analyzed the influence of different proportional guidance coefficient andinterceptor’s speed to the characteristics of the intercept target ballistic by calculatingsimulation.Detailed trajectory optimization method, and according to this article the issues involved,to build a direct shooting method parameterization and complex shape optimizationmathematical model. On this basis, for the interception flight characteristics, with a minimumflight time and minimum off target volume as the objective, the design of the optimal controlscheme factor proportional navigation, maneuvering targets to intercept high-speed simulationoptimization problem.
