In the situation of the rapid economic development, the requirement for the energy iscontinues to rise. The traditional fossil energy is the main forms of energy which has been usefor the human, but with its storage volume decreased year by year, not reproducible,environmental pollution and other shortcomings, it cannot meet the demand of thedevelopment. New and renewable sources of energy in recent years has been the attention ofvarious countries, it can be characterized by everfount to provide energy for humandevelopment, new energy from nature, its use does not cause pollution to natural. Tidalcurrent energy as one of the renewable energy, its energy density is larger, has a strongpredictability, rich reserves.Tidal current generator is the key device can changed tidal power to electric energy, ithas a direct impact on the efficiency of conversion for the whole system, the system of stableoperation and output power quality. We can use a tidal turbine simulator for the research ofthe tidal power to solve the problem without tidal-field. The development of tidal has greatvaluable. Tide generating simulation device, as the research trend of power auxiliaryequipment, can shorten the tide generating development cycle, reduce research anddevelopment expenses and experiment risk, it has great significance to the research.In this paper, combined with wind power and photovoltaic device simulation which aremature relatively, research and development for tidal power generation equipment which issimple, easy operation, high reliability, high efficiency simulation device. First, expoundedpresent situation and the significance on the tidal current energy research, introduced the Baezof tide generating theory, turbine characteristics and maximum flow can capture principle ofturbine, on the basis model and simulation of the turbine output characteristics. Turn the p-ncurve to i-u curve. Introduce the curve of the conversion. Then introduces the common tidalcurrent energy’s simulation device topology, comparative analyses on the topologicalstructure of the advantages and disadvantages for each structure, finally selects theappropriate topology Buck-Boost circuit as the main topology for tide simulate device. On thebasis of the topology, analysis for working principle, parameter calculation, system modeling,control parameters.The hardware and software design for tide energy simulation device, including theoverall circuit design of system structure, chip selected, the main circuit and the design ofdrive circuit, protection circuit and turn-off absorption network design, control circuit design and electromagnetic compatibility design. Describe the flow chart of control circuit part forsoftware design. Introduces the curve fitting for the output practical tidal characteristic,represented the actual trend curve through the form of piecewise polynomial. Use MATLABsimulation to verifying on overall design’s rationality, finally set up the experiment system,analysis the auxiliary circuits and the key point of the waveform are reliability. Then analyzedthe static and dynamic characteristics of the system.Verified the design is rationality.
