The compressor is one of the three main components of the gas turbine. Its function is toraise the pressure of the air through the consumption of mechanical power and supply thecompressed air to the combustion chamber. The compressor performance will directly affectthe power, job stability, fuel consumption and reliability of the gas turbine. The ships andcarrier-based aircrafts served in the marine environment for a long time, the compressor is themain channel of the atmosphere flows through the gas turbine. Therefore, the blades and theother key components of the compressor are directly affected by the erosion and corrosion ofthe high-speed, high-pressure and humid maritime atmosphere, the damage and the failurecaused by corrosion is particularly prominent. The corrosion damage and failure of the keycomponents of the compressor has become a multiple and risky failure of the gas turbine, notonly seriously affects the performance, life and reliability of the gas turbine, but also increasesin the maintenance costs. Therefore, study the impact of salt corrosion on the compressorperformance will provide a theoretical basis to design, manufacture and use high-performancecompressor.In this paper, a1.5stage compressor is used as the object of study. Analysis and studythe impact of the blade corrosion and tip clearance increased on the performance and flowfield of the compressor by using a combination of methods of numerical simulation and test. The main research of this paper is shown as following:1. The validation of the model. The method of numerical simulation is applied tocalculating the compressor before corrosion. It is can be got the performance parameters ofthe compressor at the rated operating point. And then results are compared with theexperimental values to verify the effectiveness of the model and numerical simulationmethod.2. Introducing the two methods for simulation of blade corrosion. The article simulatesthe blade corrosion by increasing the roughness of the surface of the blade and changing thevane type.3. Numerical simulation of the blade corrosion. The compressor is simulated in fourdifferent speed (100%speed,90%speed,80%speed,70%speed) conditions, it can be got the changes of the compressor performance parameter before and after the corrosion of the blade.Drawing the compressor characteristic curve and analyzing the flow field under differentconditions and comparing the two simulation methods.4. Numerical simulation of increased tip clearance. The compressor is simulated in threetip clearance (1%,2%and3%of the chord length). Obtaining the compressor characteristiccurve and the changes of performance parameters in different speeds (100%speed,90%speed,80%speed,70%speed) conditions and analyzing the cause and location distribution of theleakage vortex.5. The salt spray corrosion test of the blade. Measuring the size of the blade surfaceroughness and using numerical simulation method to calculate the compressor performancerecession in different corrosion time. It can be got the curve and formulas between thecorrosion time and the compressor performance recession by applying the least squaremethod.
