With high penetration of distributed generation, its negative impacts on the main grid are attracting much attention. In order to solve this issue, the microgrid concept is emerging and considered as a promising way to integrate distributed generation. Microgrid is considered as a cluster of distributed generation, energy storage devices, monitoring systems, protection devices and other components. It can manage power flow using a flexible network topology. Since energy storage system can provide reactive power compensation and voltage support, improve power quality and system stability, it plays a crucial role for safe and stable operation of microgrid. Battery energy storage has been widely used because of its high reliability and low cost. The paper studys the main circuit parameters design and control strategies under different conditions.Battery energy storage has been widely used because of its high reliability and low cost. The paper studys the main circuit parameters design and control strategies under different conditions.Firstly, this paper analysis different types of system configuration of energy storage converter and describes working principle and control method of the DC/DC converter and DC/AC converter.Secondly, this paper studys the application of the energy storage technology in Wind/Solar/Battery hybrid power system from the three main areas and designs of the control strategy of storage converter. On the basis of this,simulation models are built to verify the feasibility of the control strategy.Finally, experiments of the storage converter and micro-grid system and the experiment waveforms and data show the correctness of the research results and the feasibility of the design scheme.
