With the rapid development of road construction and continuously increasing of road tunnel fire frequency, tunnel fire safety has received more and more attention. Once road tunnel fire happens, it may cause casualties, significant lose of properties and bad social influence. By now, there are no systematic technical standards for road tunnel fire safety design, construction and management, which lead to uncertainty of fire safety level.To solve this problem, this thesis analyzed road tunnel fire disaster mechanism and fire safety evaluation method first. Then, According to fire characteristics in road tunnel and driving risk factors that exist in fire generation and development, the flow chart of fire disaster mechanism was promoted. Finally, an evaluation index system of fire safety in operational tunnels was established, comprehensive evaluation results were achieved by using appropriate evaluation method. The main conclusions are as follow.(1) According to fire characteristics, fire generation and development process and possible danger during fire, disaster driving risk factors are identified in fire generation, evacuation, fire fighting and rescue phases, the fire disaster mechanism is analyzed and its flow chart is proposed.(2) From there aspects of road tunnel fire design examination, factors that influences the reliability of tunnel fire service facilities and tunnel fire safety management, fire safety evaluation index system and each index’s evaluation criteria are established(3) The analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the weight for each index, the safety evaluation sheet is set up, the judgment standard is quantized, and reasonable evaluation conclusions are achieved.(4) To ensure the road tunnel fire safety devices are set up reasonably, safely and reliably, an evaluation standard which requires to combine static evaluation. and dynamic assessment is presented. By doing typical tunnel fire entity experiment test, a reliability verification method of fire devices is introduced. In the premise of not damaging, the fire entity availability experiment test for important parts and segment’s Linkage function are achieved.21Pictures,20Charts,64References...
