With the direction of large ships, and the capacity of the ship power systems is increasing, Restricted installation space by ship, the ship began to present a special medium-sized electric propulsion system in the direction of the pressure, leading to the complexity of the grid significantly. The traditional low-voltage electric propulsion system installation process has been difficult to adapt to the new medium voltage electric propulsion systems. Through the work of the mother ship to dive deep as the carrier, the installation process focuses on the mother ship deep diving operation of electrical equipment, mainly to do the job the following aspects:1. Analyzes the ship MV power propulsion systems and significance of key equipment. Focus on the whole ship medium voltage electrical equipment layouts, cable connectors and connection cables based on the principle of electromagnetic compatibility installation process were analyzed.2. Using the harmonic distortion analysis to determine whether to install filters; to determine the maximum symmetrical and asymmetrical short-circuit current value of the AC power system short-circuit current calculation method utilized by the expected short-circuit current and protection of electrical faults (such as fuses, circuit breakers, etc.) making capacity and breaking capacity analysis, choose the right mounting points short circuit breakers meet current requirements.3. According to the theory of time fault short circuit current-the curren t action to protect itself curves and current time-current curve action to dev elop the system short-circuit protection for coordinated control strategy.This paper presents a reference standard of electrical installation craft by the study of diving support vessels. It can solve the problems of electromagn etic compatibility (EMC) and circuit protection for diving support vessels.
