Research Of The Tension Vocabulary In Current Interior Design

In current social life structure, most of people’s life experience is done in the Indoor spaceenvironment. With the improvement of the standard of the people’s material、culture and life,people’s requirement to current indoor environment is no longer limited to the satisfaction ofits basic functions, but also in its visual aspects. The current indoor environment should beable to seize people’s attention instantaneously and leave deep impression to people, andenable people to achieve the satisfaction of visual innervations and balance. Thereby, it cantouch people’s soul in the psychological aspect.This thesis tries to research the tension vocabulary from basic theory, causes, andexpression. We have a conclusion that tension vocabulary is the indispensable ability andimportant factor of our awareness, perception and creation of dynamic and balance indoorspace environment.On the research of its basic concept aspect, the theoretical base for this part includesinterior design、physics etc. Through analogy analysis of the mechanics phenomenonproduced both in physics and interior design, tension, the concept of physics, is appropriatelyused in interior design, and the process of how physical tension is transformed into visualtension and how visual tension is transformed into mental tension is mainly elaborated. Onthe research of its reason aspect, the theoretical base is “Gestalt Psycology”, and thetheoretical reference is “Art and Visual Perception”. Through research on psychology affectedby interior design and human mental requirement to indoor environment, and analysis on theelements of space field, force, interior design and tension relationship among the elementsfrom a large amount of designing work, we can make conclusion that people need dynamicand balanceable indoor space environment in modern social structure, and tension is one ofthe most important vocabulary to make such indoor space environment. The thesis adopttheory of“The same structure of heterogeneity” as research method, and use research modelof mechanic concept in physics. We can get conclusion that visual tension and psychologicaltension in real life are interdependent, and constitute an integral whole, and force and reactionact to each other at the same time. On the research of expression aspect, the theoretical base includes “interior design principle” and “thought and method for designing”, by adoptingunconventional design concepts for the interior design and incorporating author’s anotherinterior design case, and analyzing and expatiating how to adopt tension vocabulary conceptto create a dynamic and balanceable indoor space environment in modern interior design.Tension is often associated with metaphor of connotation. The larger is the tension, themore is the indoor spirit content and aesthetic significance. In interior design, people usetension vocabulary to aim to create a non-dynamic and tendentious movement space, andleave vast imagination room in people’s hearts. The study makes every effort to create a newdesign concept.
