Brake is the lifeline of the safe running of the subway rail trains, in the subway rail trains operation processing, the phenomenon of sudden stoppage often appears which seriously affects the safety and reliable operation of rail trains. According to this situation, the train braking technology of the subway rail trains were studied in the paper.This paper first introduced the theory knowledge of the subway rail trains electro-pneumatic brake control scheme design, elaborated the development situation of domestic and foreign subway and city rail transportation. The electric braking system, air braking system and electro-pneumatic brake was briefly analyzed, at the same time, described the effective cooperate degree of regenerative braking and air brake will directly influence the braking effect of the subway train quality.Then this paper calculated from the subway trains braking mechanics aspect, the design of electro-pneumalic brake system became more accurate and more reasonable by calculating the air braking force, braking force, braking deceleration, effective braking distance, walking distance, walking time parameters and the braking force and air brake force distribution and so on. In the design of brake system on metro trains, detailed introduces the design framework the subway rail trains braking system, and starting from the function module of braking system, further elaborated the TMS (train information management system) function and control mode, the CCU (central control unit) function introduction and analysis, BECU (electric brake control unit) and VVVF (the working characteristics of three-phase VVVF traction inverter) control principle.Modeling and simulation of electro-pneumatic brake system were carried out on metro train in the last section of this paper. First, through the analysis of the subway rail trains function and structure, combined with the theory analysis of subway rail trains braking mechanics, a mathematical model of regenerative braking force and braking distance and braking force distribution of air brake system with the mathematical model of speed and braking at the end of the initial braking speed change; second, carried on the simulation of the braking force and braking distance subway train by using the simulation software, drew the curve of braking parameters. In the last chapter of this paper, the curve of the brake braking parameters were respectively displayed under different braking level in order to reflect the perfect performance of braking system. The theoretical analysis of the initial braking speed in the braking processing, braking terminal velocity, and braking force, braking force, braking distance and braking parameters of3D curves were made, it had certain instruction significance to the research and design of electro-pneumatic brake control system field, and played an important role for the localization of metro rail trains brake control technology.
