Research And Design Of Functional Safety Relay

As China’s economic and social being in the transformation period, automation and intelligent technology in industrial control application domain have been gradually improved in our country.At the same time many potential dangers and risks present in front of us. The emergenceand application of safety instrument came up under such backgrounds.But thesafety productionconceptin domestic industry is decades behind the western developed countries. So many fields need the functional safety technology adopt foreign mature products.But with the improvement of china’s economyeconomic,we pay more attention to production quality and safety. Also function safety instrument technology has been written in the twelfth Five-year plan. As we find the huge market potential,the research and design of functional safety relayis of great practical significance.This subjecthas achieved research and design of on-off inputfunction safety relaymainly according to IEC61508. Firstly, function safety standard, safety technology and safety relayare described in detail separately. Just as mentioned above, we finished the hardware circuit design. The safety relay in this paper has many functions include dual channel redundancy,mutual monitoring and double MCU control.It can be applied together withon-off input productions as safety switch, safety light curtains, safety door, safety mat and final control element that make up a safety control system. Its security level can be SIL3level as required. It can meet requirements of functional safety and its reliabilityof control system in industry field.
