Because of the high-grade anti-collision design for the non-open part of bridge, the engeering investment will largely increase, which is not good for economic benefits. It will be more reasonable and have more practical significance in economy if referring to engineering insurance and claim for compensation, the after accident assessment and repair is quickly carried out. This article, taking the bridge without navigation hole in East China Sea Waters as background, attempted to analyze the collision damage mechanism of the bridge to gain the structural response under ship collision force and to further study the component damage after the collision. The main research content was as follows:(1) Three kinds of simply applied numerical model under the combined effect of bridge pile foundation and soil was the research object to comparatively analyze which simplified effect was better. Then the ship bridge collision simulations in next stage would apply this kind of method.(2) Complex multivariate coupling dynamic system of ship bridge collision would need nonlinear dynamic numerical simulation research to accurately simulate the impact delivery and compatibility of deformation in the whole collision process and to develop multi-conditions’ numerical analysis of coupled system of collision, fully taking consideration of the interaction of these systematic factors such as ship, water, foundation piles and rubber bearing, in the process of collision between ship and bridge.(3) Established a scale boat bridge test and carried out the collision experiment between ship and bridge, in terms of numerical simulation of operating conditions, to analyze the condition on local damage, crack and beam offset of bridge structural members in the process of collision. Under the condition of damage after collision, natural frequency of vibration and beam offset conditions were evidence to judge damage and rank analysis of damage to quantify the damage condition.
