This thesis researched a new type of hydraulic system design, based on the limitation of current situation. Configurable hydraulic system design is mainly establishing the knowledge expression system of hydraulic system components and using it to obtain the optimal hydraulic system based on users’ requirements.Chapter Ⅰ introduces the background and prospects of configurable hydraulic system. As a result of the limitation on designers’ knowledge of current hydraulic system design, it is difficult to realize mass customization of the hydraulic system. With quick and easy process, configurable hydraulic system will provide the answer.Chapter Ⅱ puts forward key technologies of configurable hydraulic system, which are user demand expression, characteristic control-cavity, system configuration solution and decomposition hydraulic system design.Chapter Ⅲ introduces the basic work of configurable hydraulic system, i.e. building a set of knowledge of its components. The article uses SML technology establishing a relatively entire knowledge management platform of hydraulic system.Chapter Ⅳ analyzes the product configuration method based on constraints and qualitatively analyzes its process.Chapter Ⅴ describes the development process of the software HydroZJU through programming algorithm and UI. HydroZJU is based on C++, using the advantages of object-oriented program design.Chapter Ⅵ takes a common typical hydraulic system as an example to analysis and verify the feasibility and advantages of configurable hydraulic system.Chapter Ⅶ sums up the above chapters, and finishes the research conclusion. It also puts forward the future research direction of the program.
