Research On Some Problems Of Underground Pipe Jacking

Pipe jacking is one of the trenchless technology usually used for the laying of the large diameter pipeline. In this paper, several key points concerning the pipe jacking technology are studied. The contents and results are as follows:(1) The "jacking and bursting" technique was proposaled in this paper, the bursting head was designed optimizly, the process of the pipe bursting was simulated with finite element method.(2) The jacking flanges were designed and analyzed with finite element method and the weak parts on flanges and pipe were find out.(3) The full size strength test were conducted to simulate the jacking process experimentally and the stresses were compared with that from finite element analysis.(4) The influence of the pipe jacking process on the existing pipe was analysed. The influence level on the different grouting pressure, the distance between the new and the existing pipe, the material of the pipe and the buried depth were obtained.
