The ability of projectile penetration has always been a hot topic of research in the field of military. In order to study the effect of different factors on the penetration process, first, theory of penetration based on FEM thought and stress of the projectile impact are analyzed, Then the different geometric model building were simulated by ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element software, the effects of different factors on the different models were separately considered. The effects of speed and rotation speed on the penetration process were analyzed through the simulation of penetrator penetration steel, different speeds and rotation speed make the degree of deflection, velocity, acceleration load, energy loss and mass loss different is obtained; Three methods of FE, SPH, and SPH coupling FE were simulated, the superiority of FE with SPH coupling method was verified. The effects of incidence angle, rotational speed and attack angle on the penetration process are analyzed through the simulation of penetrator penetrating different composite medium; the results show that different incident angles lead to the deflection angle, penetration time and acceleration loads of projectile different in the process of penetration; Rotational speed has a certain effect on the residual velocity of the projectile, and it will lead to the projectile rollover occurs, when the rotational speed is greater, the reverse displacement is larger, the reverse direction of the projectile is different because of the direction of rotation; the attack angle has a certain influence on the stress of the projectile, and the positive and negative of angle of attack leads to different deflection direction of projectile. Finally, the law of projectile motion in the water and the spread phenomenon of explosion shock wave can be well described through the simulation and analysis of projectile penetrating the aqueous medium and dynamite explosion in the water, and the correctness of the simulation is verified compared with the calculated water projectile velocity by experience formula. Through the simulation results can be seen that incidence angle, rotation, Angle of attack and other influence factors have an important influence on the projectile penetration process. The study can provide a basis for structural design of missile body, and it has an important meaning for optimization of weapon attack power and defense capability of protective body.
