Infilled-frame structure has the advantages of convenient construction, flexiblearrangement of space and indoor space, which is a widely used in the field of constructionengineering. Although infilled-frame has many advantages, the earthquake disasters stillshows that the destruction of the infill wall is serious, and the traditional design method andconstruction model can not meet the seismic requirements of modern architecture. Theinfilled-frame structure in the strong earthquake has caused significant casualties and propertydamages, and it attracted the attention of the relevant research institutions and design crews.Although our design specification between reinforced concrete structures and masonryinfill walls is appropriate for release or adopt flexible connection, it has not make clearmethods of construction and it has great randomness in construction. In order to put forward areasonable and reliable connection between the frame and infill walls, the interaction betweenframe and infill walls must explored first, making the favorable interaction between the framebody and infill wall components fully played and the adverse interaction can be avoided toimprove seismic capability of the overall structure to the greatest extent. On the basis ofexisting research results, this paper describes the interaction between the infill wall and theframe structure under horizontal seismic action through the comparative analysis of seismicbehavior of pure framework and infilled-frame system, including the advantages anddisadvantages of the infill wall to the frame, the constraint effect of the frame to the infill wall,and improves the deformation capacity and ability to resist loads of the infill wall.According to the infill walls’ damage situation and the interaction between the frame andthe infill walls in earthquake, the connection between the frame and infill wall is crucial inorder to prevent the structure destruction, also is of certain research value to improve theseismic performance of the infilled-frame. This paper proposes a infilled-frame with dampingdevice, using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS to do the simulation through thecomparison and analysis of the mechanical performance of the pure frame, the ordinaryinfilled-frame and the infilled-frame with damping device under the low reversed cyclicloading, the following conclusions can be get: First, compare to the pure frame, the bearingcapacity of the ordinary infilled-frame is better, and energy dissipation capacity is worse.Second, compare to the ordinary infilled-frame, the bearing capacity and energy dissipationcapacity of the infilled-frame with damping device has increased in different degrees, and allthese illustrates that this construction measure is helpful to improve the seismic resistance ofthe structures and has certain applicable value and developing prospect.
