For the rail transportation system, the main goals are always safety and efficiency. The rail transportation system can operation safe and efficient, depending on its function of the operation control system to a great degree. In the rail transportat-ion system, train operation control system is the core subsystems to make sure the saf-ety of train operation and improve the operational efficiency, it’s brain and CNS of t-he the rail transportation system.Train positioning plays a very important role in Train Operation Control System. The basic function of the train location subsystem is to precisely determine the posit-ion of the train, including the safety related train space, speed and acceleration any ti-me, any where. In the rail transportation traffic safety and command system, getting train positional information real-time and accurately is the safeguard of train operatio-n safety and efficiency. So it has great significance to study the train location method deeply.For wireless location, it attract extensive attention by the industry and academy. If it can offer accurate information of the position, it’s possible for different applicati-ons such as ITS, location-aware settlement and so on. And yet NLOS and multi-path interference are the main source of the positioning error, especially NLOS.This poses challenges for positioning. At present, there are a number of literature research how to reduce NLOS error. But its positioning accuracy is not high. So at th-is point, it can’t meet the request of train control system. However, its signal is not ea-sy to lose, and its cost is lower. With the deepening of the research, positioning accur-acy will improve. It can meet request of train control system completely. Its applied s-cope will further expand and it will have good application prospects. This text adopts LTE Positioning, and is committed to research the method of improving positioning a-ccuracy, while ensuring reliability.According the specific situation of railway traffic, applicable wireless location t-echnology were analyzed. And further proposed the evolution condition that railway communication system GSM-R is about to transition to LTE-R, indicating future tre-nds of railway. The paper designs the train positioning solutions based on LTE, using LTE positioning information to locate the line segments. And analyzes the main fact-ors affecting the accuracy of positioning, focusing on the impact of NLOS and multip- ath interference on positioning accuracy, and propose algorithm flow and overall fra-mework and use Matlab simulation.
