As the main transmission form, gear transmission has been widely applied in mechanical industry, and it’s an important index to measure industrial technology development. Gear strength calculations mainly consist of the contact strength, bending strength and the hooding strength. To prevent from teeth surface fatigue pitting, contact strength calculation is required, and to prevent fatigue fracture of teeth root and bonding of teeth surface, bending strength and bonding calculation are respectively needed. Both fatigue fracture of teeth root and teeth surface fatigue pitting have life span, and life span of the gear will be reduced after overload, while generally it won’t instantly be destroyed. So we can control it through fatigue ultimate stress related with cycle index. On the contrary, the outcome of teeth surface bonding is time independent. It will occur as long as overload, high temperature or improper lubrication happens in a short time. Because the failure of teeth surface bonding is paroxysmal, and it’s not easy to prevent and detect, it is more dangerous. As a result, it is critical important to establish a proper calculation method for gear anti-bonding capacity, which is also especially important for setting up a thorough gear strength system design.Gear strength system design process is very complex, a large number of data is required to refer to, and repeated calculations and check must be carried out during this course. Hence, taking advantage of computer technology to design gears is a trend unstoppable.This dissertation mainly accomplishes the following works. Based on the principle of flash temperature method and the friction factor in the condition of extreme pressure lubrication, and according to the standard of industrial closed gear lubricants selection method and FZG standard, calculation method of cylindrical gears’anti-bonding capacity contact stress is derived. Based on gear strength calculation method, visual software of gears is developed using MFC frame technology in the integrated Visual C++environment. As to diagrams and tables referred to in the design course, respectively the mix programming technology between MATLAB and VC++and database ADO technology is applied, so automatic query and call of relative data in corresponding diagrams and tables are realized.
