Earthquake damage in recent years shows that the casualtiy caused by earthquakeis reduced, but the economic loss is more and more big. Performance-based seismicdesign has become the developing direction of the seismic design code. In this paper, conbine the seismic evaluation theory based on the displacement, pick simple andeffective capacity spectrum method of seismic analysis method, the following researchwork:(1) By using SAP2000software, static elastoplastic analysis is conducted on threedifferent types of structure (frame, frame shear, cylinder) by using three lateral forceloading pattern (uniform, nabla, modal). The different elastic-plastic state isquantificated by the multiples of yield displacement. Research the change ofdeformation, vertex displacement angle and maximum displacement angle in differentelastoplastic state.(2) Research the ductility coefficient between the layers and the order and locationof plastic hinge.(3) Analyze the natural vibration period empirical formula of different structure ty-pes and compared which with the results of the modal. Research the transient period ofstructure under different elastic-plastic state.(4) Incremental dynamic analysis is conducted on three structure model. IDA curv-es of multiple seismic record are got. Research the change rule of vertex angle, maximum interlayer displacement angle displacement and deformation curve with theincrease of earthquake intensity. Establish the relation curve of displacement angle andearthquake influence coefficient. Compare the structural seismic ability based IDA andPushover.(5)Introduce the seismic evaluation method under different intensity. Transform theSa-Sdcurve to α-Sdcurve and compare which with earthquake action under the differentintensity. Determine the performance intersection of small and strong earthquakes stageunder different intensity.
