With the rapid development of China’s wind power industry, wind farm development in China shows the characteristics of large-scale centralized for the uneven distribution of the wind resource in China. At the same time, wind power operators put forward higher, more stringent requirements on the wind turbine’s safe production, operation security and enterprise management. It becomes more and more critical to effectively monitor the state of wind turbine, and guarantee the safe, reliable and economic operation of the whole wind farm.The main work of this thesis can be summarized as follows:(1)Firstly, the status of wind power control technology at home and abroad is analyzed, and the characteristics of a variety of domestic and foreign wind power monitoring system are also compared. On the basis of the above research, the thesis decides to develop "The Unified Platform Monitoring System for wind farm (UPMS)".And the key techniques are analyzed and described, such as the approximation algorithm, multithreading, and etc.(2) Secondly, the needs analysis of UPMS is given, including design objective and function requirement. The architecture and transaction flows are designed accordingly. UPMS consists of data acquisition module and the server. Client can through the browser to access. Data acquisition module provides data support for the whole system. Its main task is to collect data and control instructions for the equipment such as wind turbine, anemometer tower and booster stations. The server is consists of data platform and application server. Data platform receive data from the data acquisition module to collect, cache, and provide real-time data for the application server. The application server provides plenty of information for the client of the system. The user can login and operate UPMS by browser.(3) This thesis describes the typical application environment, and presents the application effects of client. UPMS has been running in many wind farms.UPMS is designed and realized in the thesis. UPMS uses multithreading and high-speed object cache technology in data acquisition and real-time data storage and processing to improve the large-scale real-time data processing performance. UPMS also uses the approximation algorithm for active control. this algorithm can solve the problem of active control of different wind turbines and different interfaces between them. UPMS can solve the incompatible problem of wind farm monitoring system, and its function was improved.
