With the development of Chinese modernization, the construction of a largenumber of high-rise buildings and urban underground space utilization in city, makedeep excavation in large numbers, especially in Tianjin, the Bohai Bay due to its close,so its underground soft soil thick and widely distributed. There is a huge risk especially doing deep excavation works in the city center andlots under complex surrounding. So, it has important engineering significance to dothe study of pit deformation in Ultra-deep excavation process with soft soil. In thispaper, do finite element analysis to excavation process using finite element softwareABAQUS based on the background of Jin Wan Plaza Phase II which is in thedowntown of Intensive buildings of Tianjin.Specific work of this paper including these works:(1) Introduce excavation deformation analysis during excavation and control theorythrough a lot of reading of the literature.(2) by analyzing the monitoring data of ground wall obtained in actual projectduring excavation it can reach a conclusion of that, displacement of ground wall at thetop of the horizontal exceeds the alarm value range largely because of the erection ofthe first horizontal support position is too low, make the length of wall boom is toolong, make the Horizontal displacement is too large. At the same time can draw aregular pattern of force variation in f support system.(3) Simulate the actual project using the finite element software ABAQUS,conclude the simulation results obtained by analyzing the deformation pit.(4) Both of the deformation data have some differences, but the overall deformationis similar by comparing the measured data of deformation and simulation resultsobtained.Although there is a certain bias of calculation results with the actual projectobtained by the finite element method, But it can provide some theoretical guidance tothe actual design and construction of excavation works. The actual test results will behelpful to further optimization and improvement using the finite element software.
