Deep foundation excavation is an old and has the characteristics of the times of the topic in geotechnical engineering. At the same time, it is a complex geotechnical engineering, deep foundation excavation is a wide field. The existing structures related to the topic, the more the foundation and rock and soil mechanics and other aspects of the subject, and environmental protection issues. With the rapid development of economy, along with the development of technologies and applications of the new materials, deep foundation pit support forms are more and more diversified.However, in the deep foundation pit support structure design faces two major problems. One aspect is the design of the retaining structure is too conservative, can not meet the reasonable requirements of capital and materials, the recessive waste. On the other hand is the theory behind the practice, the theory can not guide practice, caused by improper design and construction serious engineering accident. The first problem is more common in Foundation Pit Engineering. Therefore retaining structure optimized design is imperative.This paper combined with the example of deep foundation pit engineering in Handan area, mainly for the following several aspects of research:(1) Reviews the development of the field, and put forward the optimization of deep excavation design, namely the supporting structure of the optimization choice of the scheme and supporting structure optimization design.(2) Introduces several typical foundation pit support and its use scope, combined with engineering examples, to determine the various profiles of the forms of the supporting structure(3) Using Lizheng software on each support structure optimization design, analysis of some parameters in the design of the function and the significance, and gives the optimal supporting structure design.
