The high-voltage circuit breaker is one of the most important equipment in thepower system. The failure during operation process can easily cause serious accidentson the electric power system which leads to huge economic losses, therefore thehigher relibility demand of high-voltage circuit breaker are necessary. After analyzingthe characteristics of high voltage circuit breaker vibration signal On-line monitoringsystem,this article designs a system based on virtual instrument technology andLabVIEW software vibration signal on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis system andapplies Hilbert-Huang Transform method on the high voltage circuit breakervibration signal processing as well as extracting the eigenvalue under thecorresponding state, has some practical value.The High-voltage circuit breaker vibration signal contains a wealth of devicestatus information, the eigenvalues of the discrimination of the fault extracted fromusing the modern information processing technology becomes the hot spots of thehigh voltage circuit breaker research. This paper describes the basic principles ofHilbert-Huang Transform, and carries out a simulation study on its de-noisingfeature and the ability of eigenvalue-extracting. Eventually implements the Hilbert-Huang Transform to process vibration signal of the circuit breaker under normaloperating conditions as well as three fault conditions: lockbolt is not normal, the basescrews loose, soft link on the moving contact clip loosening. Extracts thecorresponding eigenvalue by analysis of the Hilbert-Huang transform marginal mapeigenvalues, and establishes the eigenvalue-knowledge-base, Comparing fieldmeasurement signal’s eigenvalue with the eigenvalue in eigenvalue-knowledge-base,which makes the diagnosis of high-voltage circuit possible.which makes the diagnosisof high-voltage circuit possible.The design of high voltage circuit breaker vibration-line monitoring and faultdiagnosis system software are based on the experimental hardware system as well astaking the characteristics of high voltage circuit breakers on-line vibration monitoringand fault diagnosis system into account. Software design completed on the basis ofthe LabVlEW platform, including real-time display, as well as the calculation of theeigenvalues of vibration signal of the high voltage circuit breakers and extraction, theman-machine interface display, fault diagnosis and the use of Access2003databasedata storage and management system. Design a monitoring interface, and complete the corresponding programming.
