This paper analyzed and discussed detection and control technology andequipment development of the shunt APF from the practical application point of view.The theoretical analysis and practical application show that the proposed method hasgood effect in the practical engineering application and can improve the power qualityof distribution network.The thesis first introduces the causes of harmonics in low-voltage distributionnetwork.At the same time, the harm of harmonics and the urgent significance ofharmonic suppression were analyzed.At first part of this paper,the ways of harmonicsuppression and research situation at home and abroad also been expounds,with the abrief introduction of development of equipment and technology of harmonicsuppression.Second part proposed a fast, simple method for harmonic detection based on thepractical requirements and comparison of the theory of instantaneous reactive powerharmonic detection method and Fourier harmonic detection method. The simulationresults show that, the proposed method can quickly extract a variety of non sinusoidalsignal harmonic component for the parallel APF, to provide accurate and effectiveinstruction signal.Third, considering the differences between traditional continuous analysismethod and practical method in application, this paper introduces two kinds of theclassical harmonic current tracking method PI and deadbeat control method for adiscrete analysis, which makes the conclusion more close to the actual applicationeffect.Fourth, this paper analyzed and designed the main circuit structure and theparameters of the components, the control circuit parameters, control algorithm andits program implementation from the actual development of the device.Fifth, some related problems on engineering application of active power filterwere studied. Output ability, anti-interference measures for zero crossing signal,program writing, loss and heat dissipation, which can improve the stability of thesystem. Engineering application result shows that the device has good harmonicelimination effect and stability.Sixth, this paper proposed a parallel connection method because of the limited output capacity of a single APF.Scheme is simple, and consume less resource of thecontroller.This method can strong resolve large harmonic current in big smeltingcorporations.
