The development direction of high-grade diesel engine piston has high strength, lowfriction, low density, short ring bank, small clearance and small oscillation, with thecharacteristics of high-tech, high performance and high added value attribute. Today, thematerial is limiting the further development of the piston; Process control methods affectits quality; Product development cycle determines its position in the market.Therefore, the paper research the diesel engine piston outer circle surface designadopts CAE technology and parameter model, provides a new and simple and reliablemethod for shorten the development cycle process, simplify data processing and improvethe quality of design. The main work and innovation are as follows:(1) Analysis the surface characteristics and processing performance of diesel enginepiston outer circle, obtains the section form not only improve piston of diesel engineperformance, but also improve the processing technology;(2) Export the basic section diameter reduction equation form the oval,Analyzes theform and function of complex diesel engine piston section design, and then establish thediesel engine piston cycle parameter equation for oval cross-section and half cycleparameter equation for transition curve according to motion synthesis curve;(3) Construct cross-section database of the diesel engine piston according to thedependent variable of type and number of cycles and acts frequency, and then try to createa parameter table and parameter relationship, and finally complete parametric modeling,and instance validation.
